Lighting is an important element of home design.

From lighting in a home changes the mood of a room and influences the perception of room size. Placement and type are important aspects of interior design, and they work in combination with selection by color, room size, availability of natural light and furniture selection.

Darker colors in the room will seem smaller , while light walls do the opposite. The illusion of space is determined by the light reflected from the surfaces of the walls. Some types of lighting help zilus by further illumination of the walls. In addition, directional lighting such as track light, can soften the wall colors. Also embedded conservationa that has a soft light that shines down and illuminates the floor and not the wall.

The lighting in the room or provide lighting for a complete room, or emphasizes very specific elements. Accent lighting is a great example of positional lighting. Hanging from the ceiling, adjustable necks and lamps can point to concrete elements such as wall paintings, a vase of flowers on the table at the entrance or at the bar. Consider their installation in the walls. There is a special picture and mirror frames with recessed lighting to highlight specific areas on the wall. Recessed lighting can be used in floors and ceilings to create vertical beams of light, in contrast to the common Central glow of lamps hanging from the ceiling. One of the main roles of lighting in interior design is functionality. Lighting should serve the purpose, or is it just wasting electricity. Chandeliers are not only used in large, open foyers, stairwells and rooms. Wall lamps add length and size, visually, as well as light the way.

For dark rooms, you need to find ways to attract more full-spectrum natural light. If the room has insufficient lighting, it will seem dark and gloomy,no matter how good nor was her design. Corner lamps, wall sconces and Central lights in the ceiling will help to brighten up the room if natural light is not available, will help create a visually larger space. This applies to any room – home or office. Natural light is the best for man-made lighting, because it shows the color better and adds visual space .
